We hope to make your visit to Wakefield Jazz as great as it always has been, but there are new systems that we have to follow. We are planning to get in a maximum of 50 people at first. The first set will be from 7.30 to 8.30 and the second will finish at 10pm*. Doors are at 6.30
Prior to the event
We are asking people to book online and pay the club directly, with no surcharge. We will also ask the party size, and try to seat you in your party, socially distanced from the next group or individual. We therefore ask you to accept the seats we have allocated to you, and not move chairs or mix closely with other groups. Tables are set up for four or two people only so this limits the number of households who can sit together.
Please wear a face covering when checking in at the venue and at any time you are not seated.
The sports club has marked out the paving and we ask you to adhere to the distancing in the event of a queue. Immediately inside is a sanitising station for your use.
At the door you will be allocated a numbered table. We will check that we have appropriate contact details for the party lead. You are also requested to order your first drinks and these will be served to your table. Disposable glasses will be used, which will be removed from your table. You will be advised about how to order further drinks as this is still under consideration.
The toilets are to be used by one individual at a time. Markers outside the doors indicate social spacing for the queue. There are temporary vacant/engaged signs on each outer door which are simply turned to indicate use. Outside the toilets there is a sanitisation station.
Bookstall and cd sales. At this stage these cannot take place
We will be trying the sound desk in a new place, so please look out for cables on the floor.
We will use the fan ventilation system to ensure a good throughput of air in the room except during the sets, when it will be switched off.
Leaving the gig
Leave by the fire exit door to the right of the band. Please remember to maintain distancing.
Clearing the room
Rather than stacking as usual we need to set the room up for re-use so please follow guidance.
